Article Marketing Advice – How To Keep Yourself Motivated

Saturday, February 27th, 2010

I have been writing articles and submitting them to various article directories for around a year now. At the outset I had a multitude of subjects to write about. I must have written around an average of article per day for the first six months but then disaster struck – well at least article marketing disaster – I ran out of things to write about – or at least I thought I had. I could not think of anything else to write about. In this article I give advice about how to react when this happens, advice which I hope will help you to continue to write quality and original articles.

I developed a stutter when I was four years of age and it continued to affect my life for the next eighteen years. After a lot of hard work I was able to “stop stuttering” and I have been fluent for the last fourteen years. I now run one-to-one speech courses where I coach other people to also eradicate their stutter. I feel I know quite a lot about the subject and found it quite easy and enjoyable to write about all aspects of stuttering.

After a while I could not think of anything new to write about stuttering, which would be of value to people and made the mistake or re-writing some of the articles using different words. I must admit I was unaware that this was against the rules but now realise that each article needs to have original content, which I accept and understand. Either that or employ a company that could provide me with a professional article submission service.

I then wrote about some of the experiences from my own life, like how I coped when my now ex-girlfriend left me and even stories about my dog!

One morning I woke up with very good intentions, I was planning on writing three or four new articles. After turning on my laptop and starting up windows I just sat there hoping that I would gain some inspiration from some where. I attempted to tell my brain to start writing but it was like my mind was frozen and could not think of any suitable or worthwhile words. The problem was that I could not think of anything to write about. There was only one thing for it – I needed more sleep therefore I returned to my bed. I seem to be able to think clearer from my bed, a bit weird I know.

I decided that I was not only going to write about my own life and experiences but I would also write about my family and friends. There are a number of other subjects that I could quite easily write about including:

The best way to market a website

Web design

Selling cheap hotel deals

Self confidence

Travel

Sport

Business

These are all areas I have a great interest in and even though they are not my main line of business, the articles should be of interest to people. Most of the topics which I have listed are things which I or people I know, have had experiences with. For example a lot of people who stutter including myself in the past, have issues with their self-confidence.

Tips On How To Increase Your Google Page Rank

Thursday, February 11th, 2010

There are many webmasters who are looking into ways to increase traffic and on how to obtain a higher page rank for their websites. I myself have many websites which I am always looking to promote.

Whether your site is to do with last minute holidays, training for foster carers or any other subject it is essential to attract as many visitors as possible.

PPC

Pay per click is where you agree to pay a certain amount of money when people click on an advert that you have created. Programs such as adwords from the search engine Google allow you to place an advert on the right hand side of their search results. Which position you are placed in depends on how much you are willing to spend per click, it is like a kind of auction. As with all forms of advertising you need to be watchful of how much money you spend in comparison to how much you earn. This is something of great interest and benefit to webmasters of new or lowly ranked websites.

Writing articles

I believe that the best forms of web promotion is by writing articles like the one you are reading. People reading the articles are potential visitors to your website, as you are able to include a link to your website in the article. When a webmaster decides to include the article on their website it means that you gain a backward link via the author bio box which is placed towards the end of the article. Google are more likely to increase your page rank if you have a large number of backward links, especially one way links.

Link exchange program

As I have just stated, it is vitally important to spend time building up the number of backward links your website has. Joining a link exchange program can seriously reduce your workload, and people have told me that linkmetro is quite good.

How Can I Increase My Adsense Earnings?

Tuesday, February 9th, 2010

There are many ways in which you can blend the adverts into your website by choosing a particular colour for the ads as an example. Placement of the ads is also quite important and there is information on the Google site which advises where to put the adverts for maximum impact.

I have a number of sites, some where I do include adsense and others where I prefer to keep all of the traffic at the site such as my one offering Currys Voucher Codes, cheap mobile calls, and cost reduction specialists websites.

I believe the best way to increase your earnings however is to get more traffic to the website. There are many ways of doing this:

Google adwords

You can create an advertising campaign using google adwords. You can agree to pay an amount that you are comfortable with and with what is affordable to yourself – there is no need to break the bank. People will then visit your site and hopefully click on one of the other ads, therefore making you money.

This can work very well for certain subjects, but not so well for others. With many similar things it is merely a case of giving it a go. If the scheme does not prove to be worthwhile you try something else.

It is obviously important that we do not spend more on our own advertising, than we are likely to earn.

Writing articles

Writing articles can also help you to obtain more visitors to your site. The people who read the article are potential visitors, you also obtain a one way backward link from the article directory which you submit the article to, and other webmasters may also include the article on their own site, thus creating another one way backward link. These backward links help to increase your overall page rank. Some webmasters now believe that page rank is not that important these days and that “trust rank” has now become more important. In general however if your website has a page rank of four or higher you should do pretty well.

Link exchange

Exchanging links with other websites which are hopefully in the same business sector as your own, also has value. These links are not as powerful as the one way links mentioned above but are still worth seeking.

You can speak to other website owners on the telephone or you can send them a quick e-mail to see whether they would exchange links.

Ways To Increase The Traffic To A Website

Wednesday, January 27th, 2010

One of the best ways of gaining additional traffic is to build up the number of backward links you have pointing to your website. The best form of link is a one-way link, where a website adds a link to your site but does not get one back from you. There are a number of ways of obtaining these type of links including:

Writing articles. Writing articles like this one has many benefits. Other webmasters may add the article to their blog or website and this creates you a one-way link. Then there are the people who get to read the article; these are also people who could visit your site if they clickthrough to it~Then there are the people who get to read the article; these are also people who could visit your site if they clickthrough to it}. This is something that I have been doing to promote my stuttering therapy website and what is more I enjoy writing about the best way on how to stop stuttering.

Joining in debates in various forums. I enjoy reading and contributing to forums. Not only do I learn a great deal, I am also able to get links back to my sites when I make a comment.

Submitting your site to directories.

Making comments on other peoples blogs. This is my least favourite of all of these examples as it can be seen as spam. Other people however do think it can prove to beneficial. I must say that I stay away from anything that could be seen as spam.

If you are struggling to find content you could use other peoples articles to help you. Where possible it would be beneficial to have each site on a separate server. This is of course very expensive and therefore it is not always suitable. This however can be very expensive and therefore for a smaller business may not be best advice.

There are a number of ways in which you can fund the project such as adding adsense to the site as well as affiliate links. This may not bring in huge amounts of money but could go some way to helping with hosting and domain renewal costs – this is something that a good friend once did with his budget package holidays and cheap phone calls websites.

In the future this network could be worth thousands of pounds if you have spent enough time promoting each site. At this stage you have the option of selling the network and relaxing or enjoying the benefits yourself that it will no doubt bring.

A Quick Way to Create Articles in 3 Easy Steps

Friday, August 14th, 2009

If you do not take the time to do your article marketing the right way, even though the method is regarded as the most powerful traffic and lead-generating instrument nowadays, it will do nothing for your e-business. However, you too can become a marketing genius using short, well-written articles, if you follow the strategies below:

1. Increase the reach of your articles. Getting the headline right is every bit as important as the article itself. Make it eye-catching, interesting and compelling. Make sure that the summary information provides a quick tease, without giving the meat of the article away.

2. Encouraging additional reading. You need to ensure that people will read your articles in their entirety if you want to improve upon your conversion rate. Use a conversational tone and pepper your articles with anecdotes and examples that will make them interesting to read. Don’t overlook the benefits of packing your articles with all the bits of information that your customers are seeking, so they have a valid reason to read further.

3. Improving your conversion ratio. In order to do this, you must make your resource box sound absolutely convincing and very appealing. To raise the confidence level of your prospective customers, put in your name, skills and key accomplishments. It would help if you can offer giveaways like short ebooks to further entice your readers.

Always keep in mind that whatever you put into your article marketing efforts is largely what you will get in return. If you make sure to create your content in a way that includes a compelling title, and effective summary, useful, informative content, and a resource box with an undeniable offer, you will soon find yourself with a constant stream of new prospects flowing in.
