How Can I Increase My Adsense Earnings?

Tuesday, February 9th, 2010

There are many ways in which you can blend the adverts into your website by choosing a particular colour for the ads as an example. Placement of the ads is also quite important and there is information on the Google site which advises where to put the adverts for maximum impact.

I have a number of sites, some where I do include adsense and others where I prefer to keep all of the traffic at the site such as my one offering Currys Voucher Codes, cheap mobile calls, and cost reduction specialists websites.

I believe the best way to increase your earnings however is to get more traffic to the website. There are many ways of doing this:

Google adwords

You can create an advertising campaign using google adwords. You can agree to pay an amount that you are comfortable with and with what is affordable to yourself – there is no need to break the bank. People will then visit your site and hopefully click on one of the other ads, therefore making you money.

This can work very well for certain subjects, but not so well for others. With many similar things it is merely a case of giving it a go. If the scheme does not prove to be worthwhile you try something else.

It is obviously important that we do not spend more on our own advertising, than we are likely to earn.

Writing articles

Writing articles can also help you to obtain more visitors to your site. The people who read the article are potential visitors, you also obtain a one way backward link from the article directory which you submit the article to, and other webmasters may also include the article on their own site, thus creating another one way backward link. These backward links help to increase your overall page rank. Some webmasters now believe that page rank is not that important these days and that “trust rank” has now become more important. In general however if your website has a page rank of four or higher you should do pretty well.

Link exchange

Exchanging links with other websites which are hopefully in the same business sector as your own, also has value. These links are not as powerful as the one way links mentioned above but are still worth seeking.

You can speak to other website owners on the telephone or you can send them a quick e-mail to see whether they would exchange links.

Strategies for Improving the Results of Content Network PPC Campaigns

Thursday, August 27th, 2009

When starting out in pay-per-click marketing, there wasn’t a lot of information on the web about the different types of Adwords related networks including search, search partners, or Google’s content network. Unfortunately the same is true today.

Much of the available information online comes from internet marketers who have extensive experience with pay per click marketing. The reality is that these folks have tried and failed on a large scale. They now share this information but at a significant cost. The end result is that most PPC marketers abandon pay per click altogether and just focus on Google or Yahoo search.

Many people are making money today on Google’s content network thanks to the help of real experience. As more online marketing professionals have been using pay-per-click and working to enhance the overall quality of their campaigns, they’ve been turning to Content Network advertising in large numbers. As they learn, they share their information and improve the overall interest in making money with content.

A common technique that is being shared by PPC gurus is the grouping of a specific number of keywords per Ad group. Many experts suggest that when using the content network, you build your Ad groups with anywhere from twenty-five to fifty related keywords. Why focus on keywords in this quantity? You want to make it easy for Google to figure out the optimal content for displaying your ad. The better the relationship between ad and content, the better your ad will do.

Today’s most popular PPC software related to content network marketing is called Content Bully. From the makers of PPC Bully, Content Bully is designed to help you improve content network campaigns. You can find other PPC related products on the market but few specifically address Google’s content network advertising option. This is largely due to a lack of success that marketers have had in the past finding profitable pay per click marketing campaigns.

Consider using an online resource to help you evaluated which resources can most effectively transform your PPC campaigns, resulting in lower costs and higher profitability. As many of you know, the rub with content related campaigns is that it takes a lot of clicks before you can accurately assess a campaign’s effectiveness. This is where online tools like Content Bully come into play. You can focus on implementing your campaigns versus the tedious research of finding the most profitable campaigns.

In addition to finding profitable campaigns, informational resources can help you determine which affiliate products might do well on the Content Network. In general, popular products that have broad appeal do well. This is sometimes due to the amount of content being published related to that particular niche or product category.

Once you’ve had an opportunity to research the best practices associated with pay per click marketing on content related networks, consider using software or informational products to help improve your performance. This can be done easily as there are a variety of products available online and free downloads. Consider using a web based tool to reduce your workload and improve results. You’ll need to scale your efforts if you want to succeed.
